Trump and his administration maintain that his policy of relaxing restrictions on corporations created an environment in which the economy can thrive. Obama's supporters say he did all the hard work over the eight years of his presidency to build the foundations for a strong economy. Don't forget Trump inherited a strong economy from Obama. On the other hand, Obama inherited an economy in free fall—he had to turn things around.
The truth is Obama was much better at handling the economy.
Despite predictions from critics and economists, Trump hasn't tanked the economy. Far from failing, his strategies are working. US stock markets recently ended at an all-time high. Trump's supporters say we owe it all to him.
