Should all states allow voters to vote by mail? | The Tylt
With the coronavirus continuing to spread in communities across the United States, and an expected second wave in the fall, many advocates are pushing for states to implement mail-in voting across the board so people don't have to put their health at risk to vote. Against the advice of his own people, and without evidence, President Trump and his supporters claim that absentee ballots will increase voter fraud. To be clear, voter fraud largely does not exist in the United States, and mail-in ballots do not contribute to it. However, many states already have widespread use of mail-in ballots without any issue. Trump himself said that the reason why he opposes vote by mail is "you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again."
