Tell Me Everything: How to Protect Voting Rights in the Age of COVID-19

The coronavirus pandemic has rendered mass gatherings of all kinds impossible. As primary races across the country are delayed, concern is growing for the upcoming Nov. 2020 elections. If in-person voting is still not possible due to social distancing guidelines, how will states ensure that every eligible voter is able to cast their ballot? Stacey Abrams, former minority leader for the Georgia House of Representatives and 2018 gubernatorial candidate, is ready with answers. After witnessing voter suppression first-hand during the 2018 governor's race, Abrams founded Fair Fight Action, an organization whose mission is to promote free and fair elections across the country. The FFA team works against voter suppression of all kinds. As questions mount regarding in-person voting alternatives, such as mail-in ballots, Abrams and her team are fighting for equitable, safe solutions, all in the name of protecting democracy. Hillary Holley, Organizing Director for FFA, joins The Tylt to explain the steps every voter should take to make sure their voice is heard.
