For the past several decades—women and LGBTQ pop music artists have openly declared their "true colors,” supported gay rights and empowered LGBTQ communities to be born their way. Enter the "Gay Anthem.” And there’s no better way to celebrate Pride Month than to honor the pop divas (women and queers included) in music who have influenced LGBTQ movements, and ultimately pick the greatest gay anthem of all time.
Queen's "I Want to Break Free" beat out George Michael's "Freedom! '90," and Village People's "Y.M.C.A." slightly topped ABBA's "Dancing Queen" in the first round. Now it's Village People versus Queen.
